Needless to say the trip was tremendously successful and the opportunity to experience history firsthand with such a fine group of students was unbelievable. All of the participants would like to send heartfelt thank you to all of the people that supported our endeavor and made the trip possible. "
From Adriana Lovo & Javier Espinoza, SRHS Students in a post card from their trip: "Thank you so much for this great adventure you have made possible for us. $5000.00 has been pledged by the Alumni to the Athletic Boosters for work on the softball field when needed.
From Amy Motneleone, SRHS Athletic Boosters President: "The Athletic Boosters were asked if we could help with improvements to the Girl's Softball Field, specifically, the replacement of the old wooden benches with real sheltered dugouts. This is a major undertaking requiring a concrete pad, construction materials and workers and plumbing for water fountains that we could not hope to do without the generous donation from the Alumni Association.
This project will benefit the Girl's Softball program directly; but, it will benefit every other sports program at SRHS at the same time. With the required funds coming from the Alumni Association, the Athletic Booster account will remain intact to continue to support each and every sport at SR. Further, the Girl's Softball Field is in a prime location at the front of the school. Beautifying and improving the Girls' Softball Field actually does the same for SR's community image. We are ALL effected in a positive way by this use of the monies and all grateful to the Alumni Association for the donation."
